1. Tour Starting Line – Hull

Come and cheer our runners as they begin their collective 650mile run! The first 10 miles begins at the Prospect Shopping Centre in Hull, with Professor John Oldfield (Direcor of WISE) signalling the start of the run. The team will run to the Humber bridge and continue on to Cambridge, running through the day and night in relay.

Sierra Leone Trip April 2017

This will be a truly rewarding trip to visit our children in Sierra Leone.  The focus of the trip would be teacher training at the school, with most days focused on improving the teaching and learning.  There will also be plenty of time spent with the children in their homes.  This is not a trip for the faint hearted, but for those who really want to experience rural Africa.  We are especially looking for teachers (NQT, retired or in current employment), however if you have other experience working with children please do get in touch.

Trip Dates: 2 April – 12 April 2017.

If you are interested please send an email to us at globalexpeditions@operation-orphan.org.  The application deadline for this trip has passed, but if you are interested we would still love to hear from you.  Please be aware that the cost of the trip may go up due to the increased cost of flights.

NB For this trip you must be age 18 or over.

KACW Aid Distribution 2017

We will be distributing warm winter clothing to orphans and vulnerable children in Moldova.  The past few years have seen some fantastic teams and some unforgetable experiences.  We will be located in rural schools; the children from the surrounding areas come to recieve their warm coats, hats, scarves, gloves and blankets.  This trip is hard work, but also incredibly rewarding.

The cost of trips is £450 + the cost of flights.  The flights are normally between £250-£300, but we charge these separately so that we can keep the cost down for our team members.  This means overall we do not expect the trip to cost any more than £700.  Obviously prices can change over the course of a year, but we would make costs very clear to your before you made a final decision.

If you are interested in becoming one of our KACW Distribution Team Members in 2017, please email us at globalexpeditions@operation-orphan.org.  We would love to hear from you.

Start Date:30th September 2017

End Date:8th October 2017

Cost:Approx £700
