Our goal
To improve the quality of life for Orphans and Vulnerable Children in a holistic, culturally relevant and sustainable way.
Our strategy
To develop a substantial resource of finance, products and professional skill in the following five streams:
- Sustainable Development - Helping projects and communities become as self sufficient as possible.
- Education Plus - Improving the existing education provision in communities
- Health Care Plus - Improving the existing health care provision in communities
- Poverty Relief Fund - Emergency fund to help communities/families/individuals who are in crisis and unable to support themselves in any way.
- Spiritual and Psychosocial care and training - working with churches and support groups to deliver a better response to intangible human needs.
To deliver our goals ...
...in areas where Orphans are naturally absorbed into extended families our strategy is to view the community as the orphanage. With direction from key community leaders, we will release resources from the above streams to develop and improve their overall standard of living and access to health care and education.
...in cultures where communities do not naturally absorb Orphans and Vulnerable Children, we will work to ensure that they are given the best chance to survive and become responsible hard working adults.
As well as the above, our activities may include carrying out research, providing advice, distributing information, raising awareness, supporting other charities and co-operating with other organisations.
