BAE Systems Warton!

The workers from defence, aerospace and security firm BAE Systems site at Warton recently completed the Three Peaks Challenge by scaling Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in England’s Lake District and then Snowdon in Wales to raise nearly £2,100 for Operation Orphan.

They have donated the money raised to the charity's director and co-founder Cyrilyn Moore who recently visited the Lancashire site to meet those who scaled the heights to raise the money.

She said: “All the money raised for Operation Orphan goes directly to the children who need it the most.  The contribution of these people who work at BAE Systems will go a long way to making such a difference to the lives of many orphaned children.”

The group is now looking at other ways to strengthen their support for the charity.
