Easter Egg Appeal 2023 - How Can I Help?

A few weeks ago, we officially launched our Easter appeal where we ask for community donations of Easter eggs to gift to our local vulnerable children and remind them that they are not forgotten. We need your help to make it possible!

Every Easter, we ask for community donations of Easter eggs to give to social workers and care groups who then distribute the gifts to the children they support in Nottingham and across the East Midlands. This year, we have received a large request of 3563 Easter eggs for the children, that’s 3563 children who will potentially go without a gift this Easter unless we do something about it.

As much as we would love to provide all of these eggs for the children, it is not possible unless we have support from our community. Our supply of Easter eggs is dependent on community donations, so we need your help!

You can help us by:

  • Donating Medium Cadbury Easter Eggs - these cost around £1.25 and you can buy them from your local grocery store, such as Tesco, ASDA, Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, etc. If you’re conflicted on which Easter eggs to buy, please judge your purchases around the pricing of the eggs or refer to the images below. Please call our office at 01158969942 or e-mail us at info@operation-orphan.org to arrange a drop-off appointment.

Our deadline for donations is Friday 10th March.

  • Financial donations - we accept financial donations that will directly support our Easter appeal. The money raised will go towards buying more Easter eggs for the children. To make a donation, please click onto the following donation button:

Here’s some photos of our first Easter egg donation by one of our supporters, Heather! She stopped by our office and donated 4 Large Easter eggs to gift to our local vulnerable children. Last year, these eggs would be considered as ‘medium-sized’ eggs, however, this year the manufacturing seems to be a lot different as these eggs are considered ‘large’ and are £3! This means that the sizing of eggs seems to have shrunk and the pricing has increased!

If you purchase these large eggs by mistake, no worries, we’d still be more than happy to receive them!

However, please refer to the following photos which shows an example of the type of eggs we are asking for this year. These eggs were donated by the same, previous supporter, Heather, as she stopped by our office to donate 10 medium eggs! We are so thankful for her support!
