Egg-citing time of the year (Part 1)

Wow, this Easter has been a busy one!  With Forget-Me-Notts having its largest request of Easter eggs ever at just under 4000, our team, volunteers and amazing donors have been hard at work collecting, sticking eggs and creating chocolate packs.

Firstly we would like to thank all of the companies, community groups and individuals who supported our campaign by collecting and donating eggs and financial support. Here are just a few of the many stars who helped us along the way.

Harper Recruitment

Harper Recruitment have supported Operation Orphan and Forget-Me-Notts for a long time now. If it’s in the form of volunteers on our packing days or collecting Easter eggs and selection boxes for our gift appeals, they never cease to amaze us.

IKANO BANK

IKANO have continued to support a number of different projects in many different ways, like sponsoring our Waste Nott Want Nott van or supporting our gift appeals. This time they donated £750 which enabled us to purchase all the extra eggs we needed to fulfil our total request.

St. James’s Place

Our friends at St. James’s Place also dropped of a load of Easter Eggs just in time to push us well over the half way mark of our target.

Q-Mover

Q-Mover are a new collector this year and the first group to get in touch to show their interest in donating eggs towards the appeal. Thank you so much for your support!

A huge thank you to everyone else who donated, every egg donated represents a child who will now receive an Easter egg. This year we have met so many new faces of people and companies who are eager to get involved and play their part in supporting their community.

Lineage and Brakes

Lineage and Brakes

Just after we launched our Easter appeal we had a surprise call from Lineage, a cold food storage company who works closely with Brakes (a wholesale food distributor). Together they wanted to match our total request in Mini Malteser bunnies. We discussed this as a team and decided that we would use these to create chocolate gift bags which we would be able to use as part of the distribution. With this donation we were able to create 1300 packs which enabled us to reach our target of just under 4000 gifts.
