A Festive Thank You!!

Hi everyone! I just wanted to say a huge thank you for another successful Christmas Selection Box appeal! The support from everyone has been overwhelming and helped us provide 4519 Christmas presents for vulnerable children!! This is absolutely incredible and would not have been possible without the support of so many people who have donated boxes, time and money over the last few months! I would love to individually list and thank you all but there is just so many of you!

We had some support from some incredible companies who have donated thousands of boxes, with many of them also picking up kits to wrap and box their selection boxes themselves which was an incredible help. A special shout out goes to Minster FB who donated and wrapped over 650 selection boxes which was amazing! We also had some amazing donations from companies such as Xylem and St. James’s Place which made a huge difference!

We also had some amazing individuals and companies such Games Workshop volunteer in our office, helping with cutting wrapping paper and wrapping the selection boxes. This was such a huge help when preparing for our distributions and we are so grateful for the support! Many of them brought along their own selection boxes as well which was amazing!

The University of Nottingham Cheerleading Society stepped up again to help! We had an incredible wrapping day with them the day before our first distribution where they wrapped over 2000 selection boxes! This was an incredible help and so much fun! All the cheerleaders came with so much enthusiasm and got through the selection boxes so fast, it was amazing! A huge thank you to all you guys and we hope to keep working with you in years to come!

I’d also like to give a big shout out to Claire at Tesco Extra in Toton who has been very supportive! We hosted a collection in Tesco one afternoon and received 78 selection boxes from customers which was so generous!

Along with donations of selection boxes we also received an incredible amount of financial donations which helped us cover costs of wrapping paper, Christmas cards, and over 400 selection boxes! In total we received £760 in financial donations which was such and amazing contribution and we are so grateful to everyone who helped with this! Every donation we get goes into to giving vulnerable children gifts at Christmas and helping to put smiles on their faces!

Overall, the support for the project this year has amazing! I would really love to thank everyone who has supported us: the companies, the individuals who came to the office with donations, volunteers, every financial donor, all the anonymous donors, and everyone who helped spread the word and share online. We honestly wouldn’t be able to do this without every one of you and we are so so grateful. When I started this project this year, I was so nervous! But the incredible support of this community has been beyond what I expected and I know it will make such a difference to every child who receives a gift!
