The First Blankets of the New Year!
We are so excited to be back in office ready for the new year! We’ve just reached the end of our first week back and it’s been so nice to see everyone again! We are still working through all of the lovely blankets that were posted to us over Christmas! But we’ve also had our first beautiful blankets of 2026 dropped off in our office!
We are so grateful for our army of crafters across the country who work so hard keeping us stocked with these lovely blankets!
These blankets are a vital part of what we do and are used across so many of our projects. Not only do they help keep the children warm but they help bring joy and put a smile on their face.
The blankets are also an essential part of the aid used by our Crisis Response Team and are given out to children and families they identify and start supporting amidst disasters. We always have a supply of blankets ready to go if the team are deployed.
Another amazing way these blankets are used is in our UK project Forget-Me-Notts during referrals. Every week our team goes out and builds beds for children who may not have one, or are sleeping on a damaged or broken one. Every bed we build is always kitted out with one of our lovely blankets,
These blankets truly do make a huge difference to the work we do and we are so excited to see so much of your incredible hard work in 2026!
If you haven’t made blankets for us before and would like to! We are always so happy to receive them! We are looking for 6’ x 4’ blankets, to ensure they roughly fit a single bed and will be a good size for all the children we give them to. Blankets can then be posted to us or dropped off at our office. If you are posting them to us, please include your name and an email address or postal address because we would love to thank you for your amazing hard work!
