COVID-19: We Can't Stop, We Won't Stop

We’re not letting Covid-19 stop us!

Together, we are spreading some Covid-kindness!

Our incredible Crisis Response Team have been activated to support Derbyshire County Council’s Children’s Services. We are focusing on emergency referrals - ones which have been triaged as the most critical cases, which cannot wait until after lockdown.

We’ve been so overwhelmed by all of your generous donations! We’ve had so many items purchased from our Shop - so we cannot thank you enough! With your help, we have been able to improve the quality of children’s living environments, making their homes safe and secure.

Teenage mum "Vanessa" concealed her pregnancy, and gave birth, alone at home, to a baby boy. She couldn’t afford to buy any of the necessities to be able to care for her baby. Baby Basics Long Eaton were able to provide us with a phenomenal Moses basket hamper, full of essential baby items, including toiletries, blankets, clothing, and little treats for mum too. Thanks to your donations, we were also able to provide “Vanessa” with a cot, a pushchair, a bottle steriliser set and ample tubs of baby formula!

A single father recently fled domestic violence, along with his two young sons "Taylor and Tyler". They fled with no possessions and had to start building their home again from scratch. Until now, they were living in isolation in an unsafe, unstable environment, but we were able to provide this family of three with a bed and bedding each, storage units, and some basic kitchen essentials.

“Winnie”, is due to give birth to a baby girl in a few weeks! She has fled domestic violence, and has been sofa surfing until recently, when she secured a bed-sit. “Winnie” had no possessions and could not afford to furnish the property, but we were able to provide her with a bed, bedding, pots and pans, cutlery and utensils, crockery, a toaster, a kettle, a microwave and a hot plate - all thanks to your wonderful donations! We were also able to provide her with a marvellous Moses basket hamper of baby items, with huge thanks, again, to Baby Basics Long Eaton.
