The Easter Bunny's Confectionery
I am overjoyed to end off the 2021 Easter collection having collected over 1000 Easter gifts!
This year we partnered up with a local company, TTK Confectionery, to supply small trinket boxes of sweets to children in care across the East Midlands.
We were in conversation with TTK since the start of the year and they have been so wonderful to dedicate their time and resources to creating these gifts for no profit. As a safe alternative (to going into stores), we held this year’s collection online. We asked our community to donate towards the gifs through the TTK Confectionery website. TTK boxed all the gifts and we collected them from their warehouse in Nottingham.
And did I mention, these gifts are vegan…
On Friday morning, myself and John delivered 1000 gifts to Nottingham and Derby social services to distribute to the children in the care system.
On Wednesday before the long weekend our amazing volunteers (Jo, and her two children Charlotte & Harry) eagerly delivered some extra gifts. These were donated to us by a local Natwest branch, Boots Postal Team in Beeston, Eversheds & TTK Confectionery.
Charles (who started Forget-Me-Notts with his wife) came to our office to pick up over 200 gifts on behalf of Leicestershire social services. Brad even took some with him when he visited the FMN Team in Lancashire!
This raised our total number of Easter Gifts delivered to 1478!
I am really happy to end off this collection knowing many vulnerable children will have a little something to enjoy on Easter Sunday.
It’s such a bonus to have had the opportunity to build the foundations of a new relationship with TTK Confectionery who are keen to help us out again next year!
