Sierra Leone Trip April 2020

This will be another rewarding trip to visit our children in Sierra Leone.  The Heaven Homes project includes a school for the kids in the community and homes for 40 children orphaned by the Ebola outbreak in 2014.

About the trip

The focus of the trip will be spending time with these children both in the school and at their homes.  At school there will be plenty of opportunity to teach lessons and bring new ideas and resources to the teachers.

When in the homes, the children just love to hang out, play games, dance, listen to stories and chat. One main focus for this expedition is to organise a day trip for the children to the beach. This is something they will remember for the rest of their lives and help us with this, we are specifically looking for some people who are confident in water and/or have lifesavers training or teach swimming. If you know someone who would love this - please share the details with them.

This is not a trip for the faint-hearted, but for those who really want to experience rural Africa. For more information download the info sheet and if you decide that this trip is for you, please complete the application form and apply.  If you have any questions about the trip please contact us at globalexpeditions@operation-orphan.org.
