Krispy Kremes for Chocolate

On Friday 24th May Nottingham Knights Cheerleader helped us to sell 121 dozen doughnuts to raise money for Forget-Me-Notts (keep reading to find out how this is ‘Krispy Kremes for chocolate).

We are very grateful to Krispy Kreme UK, for helping us out and allowing us to buy the doughnuts at a reduced price, just so that we could sell them on a raise some much needed funds.

We started at National Academy in Hucknall and at Chilwell School, catching them at break time. The teachers were particularly keen to make the most of the opportunity… sorry kids if your teachers were a bit hyper after break!

We then headed over to Nottingham Uni to provide the students with a much needed snack break. Finally we took them to Destiny, Nottingham on Friday night.

We raised a total of £467.41. This will go towards the Forget-Me-Notts project, providing chocolates for Children in Care. This project lets children know that they are not forgotten, especially at Christmas and Easter when we give them a selection box or Easter Egg. For Christmas this year we are hoping to wrap each selection box to make it even more special for each child. If you would like to find out how you can help email Jess at Forget-Me-Notts@operation-orphan.org.

Finally we are so grateful to the Nottingham Knights Cheerleading squad for working so hard to sell the doughnuts. You guys are great!
