Read MoreIn March of 2019, Cyclone Idai hit parts of Mozambique, Zimbabwe, and Malawi, leaving behind mass destruction and many, many deaths. The cyclone left these countries in a state of humanitarian crisis, so our Crisis Response Team deployed to Chimanimani, Zimbabwe to bring aid and recover orphaned children.

Read MoreOur Crisis Response Team deployed to Chimanimani, Zimbabwe in March 2019 following Cyclone Idai. Whilst there, the team identified children who had been orphaned by the disaster. Some of them attended Ngangu Primary School and some Chimanimani Secondary School, which is next door.

Read MoreTimes like this are exactly when children are known to be at the highest risk of trafficking and our Crisis Response mandate is to find children who have been orphaned and help to keep them safe. The next stage is to connect them to a long-term care structure and where this is NOT possible, we promise to create a care structure for them - so that they can be cared for.
